Synopsis
En 1937 en Chine, un thanatopracteur (Bale) se prépare à enterrer le prêtre d’un couvent mort durant la bataille de Nankin. Seul adulte, il se retrouve malgré lui à protéger les jeunes orphelines du couvent et des prostituées s’y étant réfugié des exactions de l’armée impériale japonaise…
